Matching Halloween costumes for best friends

Matching, or opposite?
Opposites read faster. Two people in the same costume look like a coincidence until somebody asks; an angel next to a devil explains itself from across the room. The one exception is the deliberate double — two cowboys, two skeletons — where the sameness is obviously the point.
