How to make a black cat costume
The black cat is the most comfortable costume on the list: black clothes, ears and a tail, and three whiskers on each cheek. It takes ten minutes and it is recognised instantly.
What you need
- Cat ears on a headband
- All-black clothes
- A black tail
- A collar with a small bell
- Black liquid liner for whiskers
- Black gloves (paws)
How to put it together
- A black nose tip and three whiskers on each cheek.
- All black on, the tail pinned at the back.
- Collar on, ears on last.
From things you already own
All black clothes, a headband with card ears and a belt for the tail.
No makeup?
Ears, tail and a collar are enough; the whiskers are optional.
For a group or a couple
A litter of cats in black, grey and orange, or a cat and a witch as a pair.
